Last week I was pretty sick, so as I was laying on the couch trying to work through the headaches, I started putting podcasts on the tv to watch in the background. I haven't really listened to Jay Shetty's podcast a lot, but I ended up watching his the most.

While listening to one of the episodes (I don't remember which celebrity was on), the phrase "tolerating your own level" was said. I'm used to people saying to "enjoy the journey" or "trust the process" in achieving the opportunities or things we want, but to phrase it that we have to tolerate where we are, that it's something we actually have to put up with, was such a fresh and relatable way to hear it.

We're all on and working through our own level, with our own challenges and emotions. The level you're at right now might not be where you want to be, and you might be anxious to get to the next one. Working through your current level might not be enjoyable and might not feel rewarding, but that's okay. The only way to get to the next level is to tolerate the level you're at now, push through the discomfort or disappointment, and keep doing the work, so you'll be ready for when the next one comes. Even when you get there, there might be another level that you want to strive for.

It's okay to not be where you want to be. Tolerate the level you're on and keep moving forward.

Yeah, this is mostly a reminder to myself.

A podcast I enjoyed

In this podcast, Tom opened up a lot about his own emotions and trying to balance mental health with fame.
